Last Summer Swim?
The last weekend before homeschooling started we took the kids swimming for what was probably the last time this summer. They love swimming and I'm going to miss a great activity that burned a lot of kid energy! It didn't matter what time we left after an hour or more of swimming, they would pass out before we made it home!
Maybe next summer Mykenzi will learn to swim without the assistance of a flotation device, but she's a cautious little girl sometimes (and I can certainly understand, and don't mind the added safety it provides) so I won't be surprised if she's still using something.

Racing - Camden got a head start.
Twirling around in circles laughing!

Camden loved riding around on Daddy's back in the water.

Where did the summer go? We started out the summer in a panic realizing my old car was not going to work with 3 kids in car seats so we set off on a mission to find an affordable, safe replacement that would work. Then Mykenzi's big 5th birthday party, which took a lot of time to plan and set up. Shortly after that Cohen was born, then he had all his problems, the surgery and recovery through early-mid August. After that we were finally able to finish setting up Mykenzi's homeschool room, which is not totally finished yet, but it's working for us. The summer of 2009 was a quick and busy one for us, but in between all the craziness we enjoyed a lot of swimming, golf cart rides, ice cream treats (too much), and lots of laughter!
