Camden - 14 Weeks

So sweet...

There were actually few minutes where both were asleep.

Camden fell asleep drinking a bottle toward the end of

Mykenzi's nap. Camden slept like a little king on that

couch for a very good nap. When Mykenzi woke up,

she went and stood next to the couch just staring at him.

Either she thought it was neat to see him sleeping

some where other than the swing or pack n' play, or

she was debating on waking him up. Either way, seeing

them both nap on the couch like that was very sweet.

Camden - 13 Weeks

Hmm, what are we going to do today, mommy? Big sissy's sleeping,

and I've already looked around this room today,

well, my leg and arm are in just the right position for a roll over...

here we go....I love this!


Weeee....


Yeah! I did it again!


Back up on my tummy and I've been chewing on my arm.


Sitting in the bouncey seat waiting for the
entertainment to wake up from her nap.


My afternoons are starting to have more activity. I used
to enjoy a break while Mykenzi and Camden napped
the afternoon away, but now I eat lunch, get Camden
to sleep, get Mykenzi to sleep, and not but a few moments
later, Camden wakes up and decides to take advantage
of either the fact that he has me all to himself for tummy time
or songs or whatever I can come up with to entertain him or
he just likes to enjoy the peace and quiet he gets while
Mykenzi's asleep.

The Great Wolf Lodge

Watching the large bucket fill up...

and there it goes!

Mykenzi loved to watch this bucket fill up and spill over
each time we got on the elevator, in the area just outside the elevator
which had a full glass view down into the waterpark.

Who's more excited, Daddy or Mykenzi?

Looks like Daddy's having just as much fun as Mykenzi.

They also enjoyed several water slides, the wave pool,

and the 4-story treehouse with the Great Wolf Lodge

bucket at the top. They didn't do it all, but hopefully we'll be

back another time to try out the rest of the waterpark features.

Camden and I went back to the room because the 84 degrees and
humidity inside the waterpark was a little too warm
for my little man to endure for the hours of fun
that Mykenzi and Daddy wanted there.

Passed out with her juice still in her mouth. We thought she was just
keeping warm under the covers, but she'd apparently had a long day.
Mommy and Daddy wanted to play the Quest game with Mykenzi,
but she fell asleep on one bed, and...


Camden on the other.
That was the end of that night.

First Stop: The North Carolina Aquarium at Roanoke Island

I'm not sure if Camden is confused by what he's seeing or scared,

but Mykenzi sure enjoyed the sights.

This is how Camden chose to sleep each night of our vacation,

in the swing in the pack n' play (buckled in of course).

Mykenzi was chasing the seagull, until she saw the waves coming in!

Oops, digging too close! A freak wave came in and wiped Mykenzi out.

She's not happy about it either, but Daddy sure thought it was funny.

We're sticking to the pool for now.

Which makes a much happier Mykenzi!

and broiled shrimp at the Tale of the Whale Restaurant,

and Mykenzi likes dipping her seafood in drawn butter.

Camden enjoyed his ride up the dunes,

and Mommy enjoyed the much needed exercise.

Back to the beach one last time before the second part of our vacation.

Camden, doing what he does best, was lulled asleep by

the sound of the ocean waves and the gentle bouncing

and rocking from riding in the carrier.
