First Stop: The North Carolina Aquarium at Roanoke Island
Mykenzi & Camden looking up at the fish.
I'm not sure if Camden is confused by what he's seeing or scared,
but Mykenzi sure enjoyed the sights.

This is how Camden chose to sleep each night of our vacation,
in the swing in the pack n' play (buckled in of course).
Going to the beach!
Getting sand for Maw Maw!
Searching for seashells by the seashore.

Got one!

Mykenzi was chasing the seagull, until she saw the waves coming in!

Daddy taking Mykenzi to rinse off in the ocean.

Digging for seashells now because there weren't many laying on the beach.

Oops, digging too close! A freak wave came in and wiped Mykenzi out.

She's not happy about it either, but Daddy sure thought it was funny.

Kisses to make it better!

Checking to make sure the ocean waves are far enough
behind Daddy to prevent a round 2!

We're sticking to the pool for now.

Which makes a much happier Mykenzi!

Waving mid-air!

Time for go-karts! It's Daddy and Kenzi in the 43 car, in the lead!

Big smiles here.

Walking the sand dunes in Kitty Hawk. A first for us all.

Mykenzi at the top with a beautiful view of the ocean behind.
Don't mind her shirt. We'd just had jumbo lump crabmeat
and broiled shrimp at the Tale of the Whale Restaurant,
and Mykenzi likes dipping her seafood in drawn butter.

Just a good shot.

Camden enjoyed his ride up the dunes,
and Mommy enjoyed the much needed exercise.

Back to the beach one last time before the second part of our vacation.
Look at those little Kenzi footprints.

Camden, doing what he does best, was lulled asleep by
the sound of the ocean waves and the gentle bouncing
and rocking from riding in the carrier.
How do you fall asleep sitting upright?

Camden's first footprints in the sand before leaving NC.
