Strawberry Pickin'

For Mykenzi's last preschool field trip, we went to pick strawberries. When we arrived it was gloomy, but that was okay. Then on the tractor/wagon ride down to the fields, it started raining pretty hard. It was cool out so Mykenzi and Camden had jackets with hoods, Jonmark had his hat (of course, whose ever seen him take it off?), but I didn't have anything. When we arrived at our field for picking, we were so happy to see they had a tent over several rows so we could be dry! By the time we were done though, it was pouring! The people at the Berry Farm are so nice, they brought extra umbrellas and some trash bags to sit on and hold over our heads. Even though it rained, we all had a great time. After picking strawberries, the kids got to go see some animals, a little fish pond, goats that walk across a bridge over the road, and to run and play together. I don't have many pictures of Mykenzi because she was always with her friend, Anna, so most of my pictures include her (not sure if her parents would be okay with me posting her picture so I'll just leave those off).

Eating strawberries already. They're safe to eat right there without washing, no pesticides. Jonmark and the kids, as well as all the other kids, parents, and teachers have no problem with this, but it kinda bugs me so I could only bring myself to eat one. Everyone else indulged themselves while they were picking though.
